Mid-Autumn Festival

With Mid-Autumn Festival just around the corner, it’s definitely the time of year for Mooncake shopping. Many hotels in Singapore will be creating their specialty mooncakes, and the St. Regis Singapore is no exception.

The best part: Supper Club members get 20% off Mooncake purchases.

Mooncake at St. Regis Singapore

I received the mailer from St. Regis about their Mooncake selection for Mid-Autumn 2020, and it’s nothing short of eye-catching.

“Introducing an all-new ensemble of snowskin mooncakes as well as time-honoured baked collection, delight in these intricately handcrafted gems encasing stunning flavour combinations, masterfully curated by Yan Ting’s Pastry Chef Vanness Chai” – St. Regis Singapore.

Price is for a box of 8 mini mooncakes

Mini Snowskin Mooncakes

The new mini snowskin creations, packaged in a box of 8, include the following flavours:

  • Black Sesame Paste with Caramel Sea Salt Truffle ($83.50 nett)
  • Honey Purple Sweet Potato Paste with Orange Yuzu Truffle ($83.50 nett)
  • Royal Milk Tea Paste with Honey Osmanthus Truffle ($83.50 nett)
  • Green Tea Paste with Oolong Tea Truffle ($81.35 nett)

Can’t decide on which flavour to go for? Go for the Assorted Mini Snowkin Box instead at $83.50 nett.

Old-timers may recall the very popular Pure ‘Mao Shan Wang’ Durian mini mooncakes, going for $126.30 nett. Unfortunately the Durian ones are not included in the Assorted Box

Traditional Baked Mooncake

What I love about the baked mooncake selection here is the variety. Those who love more salty or savory options can go for the White Lotus Paste with Assorted Nuts and Yunnam Ham. In addition, for those who want to enjoy slightly ‘healthier’ mooncakes, the Reduced Sugar White Lotus Paste with Macadamia Nuts would be a viable option.

The full list includes the following baked mooncakes:

  • Reduced Sugar White Lotus Pasta, Macadamia Nuts ($80.25 nett)
  • White Lotus Paste, Single Yolk ($84.55 nett)
  • White Lotus Paste, Double Yolk ($87.75 nett)
  • White Lotus Paste, Assorted Nuts and Yunnan Ham ($87.55 nett)
  • White Lotus Paste, Four Yolks ($118.80 nett)
  • Assorted Baked Mooncakes ($85.60 nett)

I do love having multiple egg yolks in Mooncake. I think i’ll be going for the four-yolk option here.  😛

Purchase Information: Supper Club Members get 20% off

Mooncake Boxes from Mid-Autumn 2019 – these were so beautiful and popular, St.Regis is going to use the same design concept again this year. An elegant, minimalist case, lined with felt inside. The box is available in a pastel shade of pink or blue, and features a festive gold rim on the box’s edges. The St. Regis logo is emblazoned on the box, which has a magnetic lid.

Is Supper Club Membership worth it?

Hands down, yes. Simply because

1) With the recommended rate for my readers of $398++ you will get $400 in vouchers. Membership cost is covered by vouchers. (Personally, i prefer using the vouchers for a hotel staycation, and purely use the perks for dining alone)

2) Dining – the restaurants at St. Regis are phenomenal. I have dined at a few places here, including the French restaurant, Brasserie Les Saveurs (read my review) and the Italian place, LaBrezza (check out the buffet!). And I also personally think that LaBrezza has the BEST PIZZA you can find in a hotel in Singapore. Both these hotel restaurants exceeded expectations on many levels. Honestly, I would highly recommend this membership even just to be able to eat here at a discount.

LaBrezza review – St. Regis Singapore has the best pizza you can find in a hotel

3) The service given at St. Regis’ are some of the most unrivaled I have seen in the hotel industry. Staff I’ve encountered are helpful, professional, and generally can’t do enough for you.

Just my two cents’ on this matter.

Thanks folks for reading, and Happy Mid Autumn Festival to everyone!
