This is my St Regis Afternoon Tea review at Brasserie Les Saveurs.
Brasserie Les Saveurs: St. Regis Singapore
I’ve dined at Brasserie Les Saveurs countless times it’s almost criminal – from the Epicurean lunch set meal to the seafood buffet dinner in pre-covid times, to the carefully curated a la carte menu (thanks to the American Express Love Dining programme, which gives up to 50% discount), so I can honestly say that it’s an amazing place.
I’ve never been disappointed dining at St. Regis Singapore, and I recommend them fully without reservation. (I’ve also done a family staycation there, and it’s the best staycation I’ve ever had in Singapore).
Additionally, as a Supper Club member, dining at the St. Regis gives members a 25% discount – and this includes the Afternoon Tea experience, which is not part of Love Dining benefits (Presently, at the time of writing, Love Dining covers only the a la carte menu)
So on a quiet weekday afternoon, with a close friend, we decided to head down to Brasserie Les Saveurs for the St Regis Afternoon Tea.
Note: if you are keen on a Supper Club membership, I do have a deal for my readers (till March 2021). Read here for more information!

High Tea Beverages
Start off the St Regis Afternoon Tea with a choice of drink. Diners are allowed a choice of up to two beverages. I decided to go with the in-house blend.
St Regis Singapore Tea Blend: green and black tea blend with rich malty notes of white chocolate and nuts. White rose and jasmine blossoms suffuse the tea with a quiet floral aftertaste
As part of the Supper Club benefits, over a one-year period, members are allowed to claim up to 5 glasses of champagne when they dine at various points at the St Regis. (Just make arrangements through the Supper Club office). So I decided to redeem one glass today, just to surprise my friend with some bubbly.
Naturally, the Champagne was very well-received
Alternatively, it is also possible to pay for alcoholic drinks. For the St Regis afternoon tea, it is $48++ ($55++ on weekends) if you just want coffee or tea options only, or $73++ ($80++ on weekends) to add on a Glass of Barons de Rothschild Brut NV Champagne.
Afternoon Tea: Food Items
Suddenly, the gorgeous spread is served, almost all at once.
Desserts
Sandwiches (left) and basket of scones and madeleines (right)
I am a traditionalist in the sense that I prefer to start with savory items and end with the sweet. We made our way down the most instagrammable plate of dainty sandwiches ever.
As far as sandwiches go, when combined there was definitely variety in the type of proteinds here: eggs, salmon, crustaceans, and chicken. Each item was carefully arranged and presented… they were almost too pretty to eat.
Truffle Quail Egg, Asparagus, Mimosa Tartlet
Cured Salmon, Samon Roe, Dill, Pumpernickel Bread
Maine Lobster, Caviar, Baby Lettuce, Brioche
Chicken Caesar, Paprika Mayonnaise, Wrap
Looks aside – the sandwiches were so good, each bite was a piece of heaven. It’s a pity that the portions aren’t refillable, so each person only gets ONE of each item.
On the other hand, there was plenty of room for scones and dessert.
Freshly Baked Pastry Basket
There are two kinds of scones in the St Regis Afternoon Tea: Classic and Raisin. Served with clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry jam, these were delightfully warm and comforting – and best taken together with a hot tea.
Classic Scone
Do not be fooled by the looks of the Madeleines and Financiers – while neutral-coloured, these are rich in flavour. The lemon taste is pretty obvious in the Madelenine; with the Financier a sour punch of berries kicks the palate with every chomp.

One of the highlights has to be the 65 Degrees (soft-boiled) Truffled Egg, served in a Parmesan Espuma with mushrooms at the bottom. Truffle lovers would be happy – the scent and taste of it came out so strongly but not overpowering, as the egg evens the taste out in a divine smoothness. Truly one of the most unique egg dishes I’ve ever come across. In the entire Afternoon Tea, this was my personal favourite.
65 Degrees Celsius Egg, Mushrooms, Parmesan Espuma
Of course, not to be outdone were the desserts, which truly looked like works of art.
Of Pink and Greys
Of Whites and Neutrals
I honestly don’t know how to describe how special these were. The sweet pink rose tart made of a creamed top and nutty base and topped with a white chocolate butterfly… whoever that invented this was pure genius.
Vanilla Rose Tartlet
Oh, the macaron bearing the St Regis ‘R’ logo and resting on a chocolate base that’s also decorated with patterns of ‘R’. My friend didn’t read the menu and loudly exclaimed, what flavour could this grey be? Surprise – lychee! Her face was a picture, haha.
Lychee Ganache Macaron
The next two options were more sour. A Yuzu and Coconut cake lifted the taste buds a little, and the Lemon Savarin gave us surprise bursts of lemony juice.
Coconut Mousse, Praline Cream, Yuzu Cremeux
Lemon Savarin, Vanilla Chantilly Cream
Thankfully, after all the sweets, we weren’t simply left with a sugarloaded taste. Brasserie Les Saveurs cleverly delivers some palate cleanders – a fresh fruit salad of watermelon and rock melon.
And then you get sweetened up again with chocolate pralines 😛

Final Words
A very elegant Afternoon Tea it is for sure, but it may not be satisfying for everyone. For one, just like the MO Bar at Mandarin Oriental, this tea set is NOT refillable, so you really only get one of each time. Usually, this is not a problem. However, the volume of savoury items is really small compared to the sweets, to the point that it can feel unbalanced for some people. This is a highly dessert-heavy high tea, so towards the end I was already heading towards a sugar overload.
So if you’re the sort of person who can’t deal with so much sweetness, do consider other places that offer more savoury options – good ones that come to mind are the Rose Veranda at Shangri-La and Renku at Marina Bay Sands – both of these are buffet style so diners can choose what they want to eat (or not eat). Alternatively, the Courtyard at Fullerton hotel has a set up that offers diners unlimited servings of sandwiches and scones, but only ONE serving of desserts.
Nevertheless, the St Regis Afternoon Tea at Brasserie Les Saveurs is highly rated; the food quality is top-notch, the ambience and setting impressive like no other, and the service is unrivalled – staff are attentive, professional and friendly. A top recommendation provided the diner can stomach a large sweet-to-savoury ratio.
