Love Dining by Amex
As usual, we chose to dine at Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant because of the Amex Love Dining Programme – the benefits mean that the both of us can dine at 50% off. Check out my latest Love Dining Guides – for Hotel Dining and Restaurant Dining – right there.
Love Dining benefits come with ownership of a qualifying American Express credit card. I personally use the Amex Platinum Charge Card – and the card’s unrivalled benefits has rendered it my favourite credit card in the world.

Cantonese Dishes
First to arrive was the appetiser, a Drunken Chicken.
This one felt like it was drowning in some kind of rice wine. Complex and refreshing, the meat was real tender and oozed an alcoholic aftertaste with every bite.

Dimsum
Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant is most renowned for its intricate and beautifully made Dimsum.
To the point that some were almost too pretty to eat – such as the Yam Dumpling with Chicken and Seafood Filling.

Pumpkin Dumpling with Seafood Filling
Looks fish intensive
Har Gao (prawn dumpling)
Liu Sha Bao (salted egg custard bun)
Salted Egg Yolk Custard
Desserts
Folks – at Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant, no matter how you stuff yourself with good Cantonese food, never skip out on dessert after. Trust me – you won’t regret it.
Chilled Mango Coulis and Hashima with Red Bean Pancake
For one, the mango coulis (pureed mango) was magically soft. Coupled with smooth cool hashima, this was a real winner and just what we needed on a hot Singapore Day.

Red Bean Pancake
The husband, however, seemed to enjoy the Deep Fried Sesame Balls with Red Bean and Chocolate Liqueur Filling a lot more – and I have to admit, this was a worthy contender.

Bite into one however, and immediately one is overpowered by the hit of Alcohol and Chocolate. This was surprising in a good way – if you want a Chinese-themed Adult Dessert… go for the balls.
