Love Dining @Hotels
The Love Dining programme is one of the coolest discounted dining programmes I’ve come across in Singapore. Love Dining perks comes with ownership of one of the following American Express credit cards:
- The Platinum Card (also known as the Platinum Charge card)
- The Platinum Credit Credit card
- The Platinum Reserve card
- The Centurion card
My personal favourite credit card is the American Express Platinum Charge card, for it truly has amazing dining, hotel, travel, and other lifestyle benefits.

Note: The following hotels used to participate in the Love Dining programme but have stopped offering Love Dining benefits.
- The Capitol Kempinski Singapore (exited 15th January 2021) – El Teatro Tapas (Spanish fare) and Frieda (German) are sorely missed.
- The Fullerton Hotel Singapore (exited January 2022)
- The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore (exited January 2022) – who can forget La Brasserie?
- Conrad Centennial Singapore (Oscar’s exited January 2021 and the rest dropped out at some point)
- Regent Singapore (exited either end of 2022 or start of 2023). This was sad – Basilico (Italian) was really good.
Personal Thoughts
It’s the ultimate way to dine with a friend, significant other, spouse, or child (depending on child’s age).
Here’s where families with small kids can really milk Love Dining for what it’s worth: Children under certain ages (it varies depending on location – it could be between 4 to 6 years old) are not considered a ‘guest’. This is especially true for hotels with buffets – there is always a fine print that kids under a certain age get to eat for free, a long as there is 1 accompanying parent. This means that if Two Adults + Child under qualifying age all go for a hotel buffet or meal under Love Dining – basically for the cost of ONE ADULT – the entire family can dine.
Personally, the husband and I have seriously enjoyed Love Dining for the past three years, and we don’t intend to stop.
