In love with Chanel
Chanel lovers: we all know that one Chanel bag is never enough. As a self-professed Chanel addict, I own several bags myself, and have even reviewed them on this blog:
- Chanel Business Affinity (Small)
- Chanel Classic Flap (Medium)
- Chanel Coco Handle (Mini)
- Chanel Coco Handle (Medium)
- Chanel Deauville Tote (small)
- Chanel Deauville Tote (large)
- Chanel Large Quilted Chevron Single Flap
The current item, the Chanel WOC in light baby pink with a crystal-embellished CC logo, is from Chanel’s 22S collection.
Chanel WOC: Wallet on Chain
One of my favourite mini bags is the Chanel Wallet on Chain, also fondly known as the WOC.
I already own it in black, and the bag has been almost a default go-to for evenings, night outs, and special events.
I’ve always considered getting another Chanel WOC simply because I love it so much. For the longest time, I’ve coveted one in another colour or variation, and at one point I even toyed with the idea of the Chanel Boy WOC, or the Chanel19 version of it.
I think we can see where this is going
That very day, after work, I went down to my local Chanel boutique, saw it, and immediately decided that there was no way that I could go home without it.

I do not recommend trying to fit two or more cards in each slot; these can be pretty tight.

Pocket for a card holder or loose notes / bills
Keyholder in the main compartment
(FYI: I don’t usually directly put cosmetic products into a bag without a bag liner or alternative cosmetic pouch, this is just to show what fits).

For reference, I am short. I am 154cm tall, or a little over 5 feet.
My preferred way of carrying this is as a crossbody. Hands free and secure.

Honestly – in terms of looks alone, it probably looks most elegant and stunning as a clutch; just that my personal style rarely involves the use of a clutch.

Overall Pros and Cons
Pros of the Chanel WOC in pink with crystal embellishments
- It is insanely cute and unique, while still maintaining the integrity and identity of the Chanel WOC – CC logo but crystal-embellished, in a sweet colour.
- As far as Chanel bags go, the entry price point is lower than other Chanel Classic Flaps. At the time of writing, Classic Flaps have exceeded (in Singapore dollars) the 5 figure range (over 12k for small, over 13k for medium!), the Chanel19 and Coco Handles are in the 8k range, and the Business Affinity in the 6k range… and my head hurts just thinking about it. The WOC prices (around 4k plus), while not cheap by any means, do seem more wallet-friendly compared to all of that.
- Compartments: I love the multiple pockets, including the six-card slots cause it means you don’t need a cardholder. I know that some hate it because the cards can be tricky to access (the slots are tight). Personally, I keep my more frequently used cards in a cardholder, and any extra cards go into the built-in ones.
Brought this out for lunch at Yan Ting (St. Regis Singapore)
- The light colour may turn some people off; being very pale, one has to be mindful about colour transfer. (Though I suppose that an identically-structured Chanel WOC in a darker colour would solve this).
- The crystal-embellished version specifically is extremely hard to find. I got lucky on this – I had an existing relationship with a lovely sales associate who is willing to alert me if there was something in-store that she thought I would like. It would be very hard to get something like this, without an SA familiar with you.
- The strap length of the WOC cannot be adjusted. Granted, there is the wrap-the-chain-around method that can very slightly adjust the length, but even then the lengths are fixed. Not a big deal for me, but a deal-breaker for some.
Original Length – looks really long on my 154cm frame!
Shortened the chain by wrapping it around the opening at the bag’s interior
