Conrad Tokyo review: Japan adventures continue with the BEST Conrad/Hilton hotel we’ve ever been to. With the AMEX Express’ Fine Hotels & Resorts (FHR) rate, we enjoyed early 12pm check-in, late 4pm check-out, breakfast, and room upgrade! Plus, we offsetted the stay with a S$400 travel credit, thanks to the Amex Platinum Charge Card.
With Japan finally opening up for travel (YAY!), the family went to Tokyo. We stayed at Fraser Suites Akasaka Tokyo. This was a complimentary 3D2N stay thanks to American Express. The Deluxe room comes with a washing machine, and baby cots plus diaper disposal bins were available upon request.
Earlier this year, we celebrated my child’s birthday with a staycation at Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy. It was a simple staycation, but the hotel made it celebratory with room decorations and a complimentary cake. The stay was booked via the American Express Travel website.
Celebrated our son’s first birthday at Shangri-La Singapore. We loved the room and excellent service, but the real hit was Buds by Shangri La, the indoor play area, and Splashzone, the outdoor wet play zone. Bonus: with American Express FHR (Fine Hotels & Resorts Rate), get early 12pm check-in, late 4pm check out, USD100 hotel credits, and complimentary breakfast. AND – benefits could be stacked with S$400 Amex Hotel lodging credits.
Hilton Singapore review: The Hilton Family Suite’s great, and not just for small families. There’s lots of living room space for children to run about. Adults may enjoy the use of a PRIVATE steam room facility – built into the main bathroom itself. Plus, with Hilton Honors Gold status (courtesy of American Express Platinum Charge Card), we received complimentary breakfast and Executive Lounge access.
When I first signed up for the American Express Platinum Charge card, the welcome gift was a night’s stay at Capella Singapore. Set in Sentosa’s greenery, Capella has a resort-like feel. With lush furnishings, premium spa facilities, multiple outdoor pools, and the best a la carte buffet breakfast, Capella’s easily my family’s most memorable staycation ever.
Christmas staycation at the Fullerton: Review of the Premier Courtyard Room. Amex Platinum Charge card holders have SGD 400 worth of hotel stay credits that can be used on selected hotels, and we decided to use it on our stay here.
A spacious room with a huge living area, bathtub, and child-friendly set up. We had special room rates that were afforded to holders of a qualifying American Express Credit card, and got a double room category upgrade in addition to that. Check out how it all happened.
For our St. Regis staycation, with Marriott Bonvoy Gold membership, we received a complimentary upgrade from the Executive Deluxe King to the Grand Deluxe King. The highlight of our stay though, was Remede spa = it’s the best hotel spa found to date!
