Basilico Exits Love Dining
The American Express Love Dining programme allows holders of a qualifying American Express card (e.g. the Platinum Charge card). to dine in at huge discounts (up to 50% off) in hotels (Hotel Dining Guide here!) and a number of high-end restaurants (Restaurant Dining Guide Here!).
In the latest update, Regent hotel’s Basilico exits Love Dining – with effect from 1 January 2023.
Basilico: looking back
Basilico one of my favourite Italian dining establishments in Singapore.
Dessert from the lunch buffet or semi-buffet
As the both of us always dine-in with 50% off two adults, doing away with Amex Love Dining benefits definitely made us reconsider if Basilico will still be a regular.

Personal Thoughts
Having said that, even though it’s true that Basilico exits Love Dining, in the bigger picture places DO come and go. For example, with Conrad Centennial Singapore, that hotel’s dining establishment had a history of going in and out of Love Dining repeatedly.
So hopefully we’ll see more noteworthy places show up in the near future. Either way – most of my own Love Dining experiences have been either good or exceeded expectations, and I still am a fan of the programme, regardless.
How many varieties of tomatoes are there? Gonna miss the buffet / semi-buffet here at half price.
