Atrium Restaurant buffet
The dining establishment is located on level 4 of the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium hotel.
Seating Area
Atrium Restaurant is an all-day dining a la carte and buffet establishment that serves an extensive selection of international flavours and local favourites for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
American Express Love Dining
As usual, we are here partly because of the American Express Love Dining programme.
This is the cheater’s guide to buffets – especially when you have small children. Both my kids could eat for free at the Atrium Restaurant buffet (child dining policy is that kids under 5 eat for free). So technically, only the two adults in this case (husband and myself) should pay, which is pretty standard, as far as buffets go. However, because of Love Dining benefits, which gives 50% off when two adults dine – we end up footing the bill for just one adult.
Translated: Pay for one adult, and a whole family of four gets to dine. How awesome is that?
This benefit comes with ownership of a qualifying American Express credit card. My personal favourite is the Platinum Charge card (I’ve written about the list of benefits here), thanks to a whole host of other perks that it offers.

Appetizers
The Atrium Restaurant buffet comes with a large selection of starters.
Seafood on Ice
Salads
Also salads: DIY version
Cream of mushroom soup. Buns on the side.
Lobsters – only one set per adult
Western
The buffet is technically international, but what this means in local terms: western food available.
Roast beef, potatoes, and seasonal vegetables.
Such as the Roasted Spring Chicken.
Mussels
Pan fried fish with dill cream sauce
Korean theme
Occasionally, the Atrium Restaurant buffet would have themed seasons or meals. At the time we dined, the theme was Korean and many Korean dishes graced the buffet displays.
Korean noodle station
Tteokbokki (korean spicy rice cakes)
Chadol Doenhang Jiigae (beef brisket in soybean paste stew)
Samgyetang (Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup)
Chicken Bulgogi
Haemul Jeongol (spicy seafood stew)
Local selections
I gotta say, this is awesome for a local buffet – it has all the typical Singaporean / Malaysian favourites in one place.
Hainanese Chicken Rice
Satay drowning in peanut sauce
Sweet and Sour Fish
Beef Rendang
Gado Gado… galore
Roti Prata and Chicken Curry (in the pot)
The prata here is perfection: hot, super crispy at the edges with a slight crisp everywhere else, and subtly chewy once in the mouth – it hit all the right notes.
I had a double serving of this – it was THAT good
Nasi Briyani
Dum Aloo – slow cooked potatoes in spicy gravy
Desserts
At the Atrium Restaurant buffet, the dessert choices are mostly the local variety.
Ice Kacang station
Assortment of Malay Kuih
Of course, everyone loves ice cream.
Ice Cream station. Durian option available.
Or have a side of fruit.
Fruits and Cakes
Overall, a hugely enjoyable buffet. The highlight is more about the quantity – there is something for everyone to enjoy – and less about the quality – food was alright but more on the average side.
Go for it if you love local food and want a huge variety in a buffet setting.
On the side – the Chinese restaurant at Holiday Inn Atrium Singapore is pretty good as well – I highly recommend it if Cantonese fine dining appeals to you.
