St. Regis Singapore

Brasserie Les Saveurs is/was one of my favourite restaurants in Singapore. I’ve blogged about that place several times on this blog, and reviewed several meals from there:

I’ve blogged so much about St. Regis, and have written reviews for the following:

Surprise!

It has been crazy busy the past half year or so, and haven’t been able to visit St. Regis (or eaten out, in general) as much as I would have liked. So for a while, dining-related news was swept under the radar.

Imagine my surprise when I looked at the St.Regis website last week, looking for the latest menu at Brasserie Les Saveurs, and THEN I saw this instead:

From the St. Regis Singapore’s website.

Brasserie Les Saveurs has been renamed / rebranded / changed to – The Astor Grill.

The Astor Grill

On first glance, the layout and the dining establishment looks the same (in pictures at least).

And of course, Love Dining benefits still applies.

Menu

Menu-wise, a quick browse revealed that the Sunday Champagne brunch also remains in place.

The concepts of epicurean set lunches and a la carte options are still very much intact. In fact, on both these menus, the appetizers and desserts were similar and resembled the previous French fare menu.

What’s changed – the mains have gravitated to become more Grill-Focused and Meat-Intensive.

The steaks up there says it all – image taken from St. Regis website.

Overall, this feels slightly nostalgic as I’ve always loved the French cuisine at Brasserie Les Saveurs. But hey, cliche as it sounds, change happens.

And of course, I’ll be looking forward to my next meal there.

Still Classy Though – image taken from St. Regis website.

American Express Love Dining

Quick note on the Amex Love Dining (See Hotel Dining guide and Restaurant Dining guide) – with this benefit, diners can eat in at participating establishments at a huge discount – up to a maximum of 50% off. The Astor Grill is a participating restaurant, so it’s worth it considering the prices and experience one gets out of it.

I can’t recommend it enough. Not just because I blog about Love Dining – i genuinely enjoy it. Check out my personal Amex Love Dining experiences here if you’re up for it.
