This review of PAUL features content from TWO dine-ins at the Ngee Ann City outlet.
This is also my second review of PAUL – for my first review – check that out right here.
Review of PAUL: Entertainer App
Who doesn’t like dining with a discount?
It’s no secret that my family and I love eating in restaurants from the Love Dining programme – and – the Entertainer App’s 1-for-1 mains by HSBC.
I’ve written extensively about the Entertainer App as well:

Entertainer App featuring 1-for-1 mains at PAUL
Located on Level 3 of Ngee Ann City
Dessert Counter
I’m always so amazed at how beautifully arranged the desserts are.
Array of Desserts on display at the store’s entrance
Such gorgeous tarts, eclairs, cakes, and more
Tip: the staff at PAUL will pack these items really well for takeaways. Those desserts make really gorgeous gifts: birthdays, special occassions, just because a last minute thing is needed, etc – I’ve randomly surprised people with PAUL’s desserts before, and no one’s ever been disappointed.
I’ve written about the desserts in my previous review about PAUL, and the desserts since then have not changed – they are pretty much the same as the present day.
Hence, this post will focus more on the main dishes and all-day breakfast instead.
Review of PAUL: first visit
On one of those work from cafe work from home days, the husband and I dropped by here for a quick lunch.
A simple battered fish fillet served alongside fries and tartar sauce. The ones here are well fried: the Fish crispy on the outside and hot and tender on the inside. For the fries, they look suspiciously close to those found at McDonalds, but they are more well-fried at PAUL’s.
Fish and Chips
I digress.
That day at PAUL, I had the Croque Madame.
Toasted pain de mie is stuffed with turkey ham and emmental cheese, topped with a fried egg. Accompanying it is a bed of salad and cherry tomatoes.

Review of PAUL: second visit
About 2-3 weeks later, I returned to PAUL again, but this time it was with a close friend.
Said friend ordered the Iced Tea of the day.
Iced Tea of the day: Strawberry
A Breakfast Waffle – waffles with scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, crispy fried chicken, tomatoes and nacho cheese sauce – was ordered.
Rich and somewhat breakfasty. Yums.
Breakfast Waffle
Avocado Brioche
Sausage and Potato Poutine
It was so sinfully good: deep-fried and super savoury. The tater tots were super addictive.
This is one of those things that you enjoy waaay too much while eating, and feel immense guilt after it is polished off. HAHAHA.
Entertainer App Discounts
For this review of PAUL, the food featured here comes from two visitations.
Thanks to the Entertainer App, for two adults, discounts are applied if two main dishes are ordered. All-day breakfasts and Mains are considered a ‘Main’ item that qualifies for a 1-for-1 redemption.
